The Postmemory Project was started by Jason Wallengren with the intention of realizing and publishing projects in both analog and digital form. It routinely makes mnemonic observations on art-making, détournement, and food & culture.
Jason Wallengren is a self-exiled American artist who questions the geographical identity of his art by working in atypical global societal setups.
He uses a multidisciplinary strategy that includes drawing, found objects, photography, videos and installations.
He divides his practice between Germany and the United States.
